I don't know about you, but there was a time that Ruby Tuesday was my absolute favorite restaurant in town.  When I was a junior and senior at Daviess County High School, my friends and I had a ritual.  Ruby Tuesday nearly every Friday night.  Beef & Bird and those amazing pumpernickel breadsticks.  It's been years since Ruby Tuesday closed up shop here in Owensboro and now the company is doing the same at nearly 100 locations nationwide.

In August, Ruby Tuesday announced it would close 95 of its 724 total locations.  Here's why!

So, it doesn't seem like Owensboro's alone.  Years after losing our Ruby Tuesday location, the chain's struggles continue.  But I don't know about you.  I would love to have one more platter of Beef and Bird and one more run through Ruby's epic salad bar.

I did do a little research to see if there are locations near the tristate that are still open for business.  According to the Ruby Tuesday website, there are Kentucky locations in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, and Fort Campbell.  There's a location in Terre Haute, Indiana and Clarksville, Tennessee.

Do you miss Ruby Tuesday and what was your favorite part about it?
