Toby Keith Polarizes Country Audience with ‘Red Solo Cup’ [VIDEO]

Hank Jr. isn't the only country superstar who never minces words. We've come to count on Toby Keith for the exact same kind of attitude. Often, it's Toby's political comments that raise eyebrows. Not this time. Now Toby has stirred up the hornet's nest with his ode to a certain popular plastic party supply.

Since "Red Solo Cup" was released earlier this week, I've learned that his record label, the record label that he owns--Show Dog--is releasing one track at a time from his new album "Clancy's Tavern." So that has cast a certain amount of doubt as to whether or not "Cup" is actually going to be a single. However, I've heard from independent record promoters that the song has received immediate positive reaction. In the WBKR listening area, feelings were a little more mixed. We've had WBKR fans who either hate it or think Toby has lost his mind. We've had WBKR fans who love it and think it's a great party song! So clearly, folks are of two minds about Toby's new song.
