Giving Tuesday is a day of giving to non-profit organizations or those in need recognized all over the world following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This day kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Everyone can become a part of Giving Tuesday whether you are an individual or an organization.  There are lots of non-profit groups here in our community that depend solely on the kind hearts and generous donations of people just like you!

One awesome way to give to others is through the 42nd Annual Christmas Wish.  This program will open on Monday, December 3, at the Mall and will help to provide Christmas for thousands of our local Tri-state families.  If you would like to donate your time or money to Christmas Wish please call 270-683-1558 or head on over to the old Body Central location in the mall and check it out!

There are many local non-profits in Owensboro that you can give to...here's the links for each!

“Owensboro Gives” was developed by the Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools in conjunction with DCPS Family Resource and Youth Service Center Coordinators Heather McCarty (Apollo High School) and Megan Nicodemus (Daviess County High School) to raise awareness of keeping local donations for Giving Tuesday within the Owensboro and Daviess County community.

#KidsFirstGivingTuesday was created last year to raise awareness and funding for removing barriers to education for many of the 11,800 students in need who attend 18 Daviess County Public Schools.

If you have a non-profit that you would like added to the list please let us know.
