What's a little thing like BANKRUPTCY when you have a brand name like Toys R Us? That is essentially what's being said as the legendary toy retailer plots a comeback.

According to CNN Money, the company was on the block and offers had been made, but the auction was cancelled.

The company is looking at "a new, operating Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us branding company."

Of course, at this time, there are no fully realized plans for exactly how the toy giant will make its return.

And, to be honest, this is currently a "plan." Full of "hope."

But what they've said about the value of the Toys R Us "intellectual property" makes sense.

Maybe they feel like they jumped the gun and filed for bankruptcy--about a year go--before taking a look at the retail landscape in the digital age.

With online ordering and curb service now available at monster chains like Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Target, maybe they see a new opening.

I don't know.

I certainly don't know the ins and outs of big business, and certainly not on THAT scale.

And I have no idea if Owensboro would even be in the picture.

Toys R Us left town a VERY long time ago. Has anyone truly missed it?

Now, the Evansville store is another matter. That building is still there. It's not even cold, so to speak.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. I mean, it's a toy store. Just how busy IS a place like that outside of about three months a year?
