According to Fox 17 Nashville entertainment reporter Stacy McCloud, troubled singer Mindy McCready committed suicide on Sunday. The 37-year-old singer had been plagued by substance abuse problems and domestic violence over the past several years. On February 8th, McCready's father ordered a petition to have the singer committed to treatment facility after she had been distraught over the recent suicide of her boyfriend David Wilson. Wilson was the father of the couple's 9-month-old son Zayne. Just a day after the initial order, McCready was allowed by her doctors to continue treatment in an outpatient facility.

There had also been suspicion McCready may have been involved in Wilson's death, an accusation which she denied. McCready's ex-husband Billy McKnight, father of McCready's 6-year-old son Zander had also been pushing for the singer to seek treatment at a mental health facility and he was also seeking full custody of Zander.

*UPDATED* Here's more information on McCready's untimely death.
