It was August 25th, 2011 that Brandon Mullins was killed in Afghanistan.  The 2008 Apollo High School graduate had been stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, but was in the Middle East on special orders with Operation Enduring Freedom.  While serving there, his vehicle was attacked in the Kandahar province and the Owensboro, Kentucky native never made it back home.  To mark the 5th anniversary of his death, his parents, Tommy and Cathy Mullins, have teamed with Gray Sky Music to record a song for their fallen son.  It's called "Twenty One."  And as powerful as the song is, you must watch the video through to its conclusion.  It's the voice of Brandon that will ultimately give you chills and remind you that tomorrow is never promised.  This is incredible.

Following his death, Brandon Mullins was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, among many others.  Here at home, the Daviess County Public Schools system awards scholarships in his name annually.

"Twenty One" was written by Tommy and Cathy Mullins and the original version was produced by Bethany Mullins Randall.  Matt Gray, from Gray Sky Music, has just produced a brand new version of the song, which aired this morning on WBKR.  Stay tuned for a brand new video (courtesy of A Unique Video) that will accompany the new version of "Twenty-One."  It's going to be tremendous.  We can't wait to hear it, see it, share it and be inspired by it.
