The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department have come up with a great event to spend time with your dad for Father’s Day. Father’s Day weekend, June 16th and 17th, Ben Hawes and Hillcrest Golf Courses will host their annual Father-Child Golf Tournament. The tournament will be a two person scramble event between the parent and the child. Teams can choose to play either Saturday or Sunday.

Here is more information from the press release:

The 12 & under age division will play 9 holes at Hillcrest Golf Course.  The 13-18 age division will play 18 holes at Ben Hawes Golf Course.  The 19+ age division will play 18 holes at Ben Hawes Golf Course.  Winners of each division will win engraved plaques.

The cost for the event is $17 for the 12 & under division, $28 for the 13-18 division and $56 for the 19 and over divisions.  Cost includes tournament entry, green fees and cart fees for both players.  For more information and to book a tee time, call Ben Hawes Golf Course at 687-7137.

Since dad can sometimes be the hardest person to shop for, spending a great day of bonding may just be the greatest gift he receives!
