It's been a good week for 2016 Kentucky basketball. In the past 7 days we've learned that UK will add the #5, #6, and #7 recruits to its 2016 class.

It was about 6 days ago that Big Blue Nation did back flips over the news that 5-star point guard De'Aaron Fox (#7) of Katy, Texas was headed to Lexington.

Then, yesterday, the news broke that blue chip power forward, Edrice "Bam" Adebayo (#6) out of High Point, North Carolina would be bringing his skills to UK.

And earlier today, 5-star shooting guard Malik Monk (#5), from Bentonville, Arkansas, committed to Kentucky.

Add in forwards Wenyen Gabriel (#23) and Sacha Killeya-Jones (#31) and Kentucky vaults to #1 on the recruiting class hit parade.

And it seems Coach John Calipari has been doing this quietly, hard as that is to believe.

Maybe since Duke has also been scoring big on the one-and-done recruiting trail, attention has been diverted from UK. And I'm not saying that all these kids are "one-and-dones." I hope they aren't...at ANY school. But it's highly likely that a good percentage of them will be.

Whatever the reason, the 'Cats have somehow quietly loaded up with the #1 class for 2016...and it's not close.
