Shown in the glory days at UK, Richie Farmer one of "The Unforgettables" from the 1991-1992 Wildcats has gone to jail.

Once a man with a very promising political career, Farmer as Agriculture Commissioner got involved in corruption that ended any hopes of furthering his ambitions.

I remember when I moved to Kentucky (second time around) and stopped for gas I saw his name on the pump. I thought that's funny, he has the same name as that Kentucky player.

Last year he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 27 months in Federal Prison. He was supposed to enter the prison in West Virginia but was extended an extra week to watch Trey, his son who is in the sweet 16, playing for Clay County where Richie himself became a star..

He entered the facility yesterday.

Sad, sad, sad.
