The next few nights are going to be very cold and the Daviess County Fiscal Court wants to make sure everyone has shelter from the predicted frigid temperatures.

Due to single digit temperatures, a Daviess County warming center will be set up for the next two nights. The warming center will be open:

Thursday, February 26, 2015: 9pm - 8am

Friday, February 27, 2015: 7pm - 8am

The center is open to all ages and genders and no pets are allowed. The warming center will be located at Salvation Army, 215 Ewing Road, Owensboro, KY, 42301.

Packaged snacks will be provided. Dinner will be served at the Daniel Pitino Shelter at 5:30pm each evening. Transportation will be provided by GRITS at 8:45pm Thursday and 7:00pm Friday from the Daniel Pitino Shelter to the Salvation Army. Transportation will be provided at 8am back to the Daniel Pitino Shelter each morning.
