As bad as it looks, former NASCAR champ Tony Stewart only broke two bones in his lower right leg Monday night at a Sprint Car event in Iowa. Now needing additional surgery, Stewart may not finish out the Sprint Cup season where he was 11th in points, definitely poised to capture a spot in the Chase. Watch what happened Monday night. Stewart, in the #14 car, was leading the race.

Stewart-Haas racing has confirmed road course expert Max Papis will sub for Stewart this Sunday at the Glen. Whether he will continue to sub for Stewart is unknown at this point. Let's just thank goodness Stewart wasn't hurt worse.

You can catch live coverage of the Cheez-It 355 at the Glen beginning at 11:00am this Sunday on The Country Station! 92.5 WBKR.
