WBKR and Chamber of Commerce Encourage You to Vote

On Wednesdays, I answer the phones at the front desk during lunch. This Wednesday, I looked up and was startled to see President Barack Obama, Governor Mitt Romney, and Big Bird walking across the parking lot.

Startled at first, but then it was just hilarious. Members of the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce spent Wednesday traveling around town in their timely disguises encouraging everyone to vote next Tuesday, November 6.

Very clever.

And it turned into a big photo op. Out of context, how hilarious is it to have your general sales manager get on the intercom and announce that, "If you'd like to get your picture made with Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and Big Bird, please come to the lobby."

It provided everyone with a good laugh--just what the doctor ordered during what has become a somewhat tedious election season.

Nonetheless, please exercise your right to vote on Election Day.
