When I posted a link on the WBKR Facebook page to a blog I'd done about country stars and politics, I figured I'd get comments. It's kind of a hot topic.

Well, one of the comments came from Laurent Pontonnier--a loyal WBKR listener who just happens to live in France. Very cool.

Now, I took some French in middle and high school and a little more in college. In fact, I wish I'd taken more since it came so easy to me. But that's another story for another day.

So, I wanted to respond in French. I knew the French words for "thank you" and "listen," but I wasn't sure how to get them together for a "Thank you for listening, Laurent" greeting.

Thank you, Google translator.

Anyway, it's very cool to have at least one person, that we know of, in Europe tuning in. And Laurent listens online and via Radio Pup. Or Radio Chiot, I guess.

Vive le France!
