Puppies are adorable. They are small, sweet, fun to hang out and play with and all of that.  It doesn't matter what the breed is or how many times it goes to the bathroom on the floor, it's adorable.  Now when a puppy has eight legs and two inch fangs, it's a different story.

The Goliath Bird Eating Spider for instance.  It is the size of a puppy.  It's inside the family of tarantulas, has two inch fangs, and eight legs.  They say that it is not poisonous.  No more venom than a wasp.  However, when a two inch fang runs through your hand when you try to play with it, or rub it's nose in the mess it made on the floor, it feels like someone drove a nail through your hand with a hammer.  So keep that in mind when or if you ever come across one of these guys.  It doesn't exactly eat birds.... but it got it's name when someone came across an enormous spider feeding on a hummingbird.  It normally eats bugs, just like a normal spider would.

There is another form of defense the Goliath has.  Check it out.

It's just a litte ball of fun!!
