Knottsville Boy Sells T-Shirts for St. Jude
Gavin Howard has become a staple of the annual WBKR/Poole’s Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon. His involvement started a couple of years ago when Jaclyn and I got a call during the event and were told that Gavin wanted to stop the studio and donate all of his birthday money to the kids of St. Jude. Well, that tradition continues and last year Gavin donated over $300! And this year, the Knottsville youngster plans to donate even more money because he is selling t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies!
Gavin’s shirts say ‘Peace, Love, Cure’ and support the fight against childhood cancer. He is selling t-shirts for $10, long-sleeved t-shirts and sweatshirts for $15, and hoodies for $20. (Add $2 for sizes 2X and 3X).
If you would like to order one of Gavin’s St. Jude shirts, email his mother Jenny Howard at Jen80howard@hotmail.com or get your tickets for Denim & Diamonds, our annual concert fundraiser for St. Jude. It is coming up Friday, January 31st at Theatre Workshop’s Opryhouse and will feature Boys of Broad, Skylar Cain, Randy Lanham & Wildman, Jaclyn Graves, members of Theatre Workshop’s Thespian Drama Clubs and, yes, Gavin Howard, who will be with us selling shirts and telling you why he is so committed to helping children his age.
