As Chad and I discussed on Country Quickies this morning on 92.5 WBKR, Willie Nelson is changing his April 28 Birthday Celebration to a fundraiser for victims of the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas.  Willie grew up in Abbott, Texas, which is just a  few miles from West. As you know the town was devastated by the blast with deaths and hundreds of people injured. About half the town was leveled. Here is Willie telling about what caused him to do this for West and who all will be on the show.

Just a few days later Willie will be in Evansville for the May 6th show at the Aiken. Tickets here.

Willie is one of the most generous country artists, as exemplified by Farm Aid, which he founded decades ago.
