First of all, I didn't know they were naming winter storms this year. Second of all,...Euclid? I had no idea they were naming them after suburbs in Cleveland. No, I'm kidding, they're obviously naming them after Greek mathematicians.

Okay, okay, I'm off topic. Winter storm names are a subject for another day.

Euclid was a kind old soul to Owensboro. I stayed up as late as I could to get the updates, and they all indicated we were in for about 3-6". But I can still see the grass. At this writing, there's a light snow shower, but it doesn't like it will be enough to get us to our predicted amount.

And this really just goes along with what I've always thought about snowfall. It's just very hard to predict. It's like back in January of 1994, when I'd heard we were getting 2-6" and it ended up being 17.

We dodged a bullet this time. But it would have been fun to get enough snow to build my first snowman in two years. The dude in the photo was my last such creation.

Oh well, it's just December.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
