New WKU men's basketball coach Rick Stansbury says he wants both UK and Louisville on the Hilltoppers' schedule.

The Toppers haven't played Kentucky since the 2012 NCAA Tournament where they lost in the first round, and the Cats went on to win the national title. WKU lost to U of L last December in Louisville. Stansbury is also interested in getting Murray State and Belmont University as future opponents considering their close proximity to Bowling Green.

In another revelation, Stansbury says the coaches in Conference-USA (WKU is in) recently voted 14-0 to move the conference to a divisional format like it is in football. WKU would be in the East Divsion with Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, North Carolina at Charlotte, Old Dominion, Florida International, and Florida Atlantic. The vote has been sent off to the league's athletic directors for final approval.

Kentucky native Stansbury was named men's basketball coach in March after former KWC coach and Muhlenberg Co. native Ray Harper resigned.
