It's hard to miss the buzz in Bowling Green regarding the football team and its new coach, Bobby Petrino. The excitement is overwhelming and fellow Hilltoppers like myself are pretty excited about this new chapter on the field.

When the football schedule was released, we knew there would be a few games televised nationally. This week, Western Kentucky announced the time for both of those games, including a match-up to air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

WKU will host Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday, Oct. 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green on ESPN or ESPN2. It is the first time that ESPN or ESPN2 has televised a football game from the venue. Also, WKU’s game at Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday, Oct. 3rd will be played at 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

This is such a great opportunity for the entire football nation to see what a great program we Hilltoppers have in Bowling Green!

Season tickets, along with tickets to the season opener against Kentucky on August 31 in Nashville at L.P. Field (Home of the Tennessee Titans), are on sale now through WKUSports.com, or by calling 1-800-5 BIG RED.
