Woman Survives Jump from the Blue Bridge

Owensboro Police are reporting that woman who jumped from the Glover Cary Bridge this morning was conscious at the time of her rescue by the crew of a Yager Materials tug boat.

A patrol officer was arriving on the scene as the woman jumped and the tug boat had just passed under the bridge. Bridge traffic was tied up as crews pulled the woman from the river. She was transported to Owensboro Medical Health System and her condition is not known at this time.
