Youth for a Cause Food Drive Set for Saturday

Here's a great way for you to help your community. This Saturday, November 9th, from 8AM to Noon, you can bring food items to the Kroger parking lot on East 4th Street, next to Rural King.

The Owensboro Youth Council is hosting its annual Youth for a Cause Food Drive to help local families in need.

The most needed items this year are canned fruits and vegetables; boxed foods such as stuffing, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc.; boxed snack foods for children; breakfast foods; soups; spaghetti noodles; peanut butter; toiletry items; and paper towels.

This is the perfect time to contribute to the Owensboro Youth Council's food drive with the holidays approaching and many families facing those special times wondering where the next meal will come from.

Well, that next meal can from you. It's Youth for a Cause Food Drive in front of Kroger on East 4th Street this Saturday from 8AM to noon.
