It All Started As a Small Haunt With a Big Haunt

What started as a small home haunt to raise canned food donations for local organizations eventually turned into a home haunt experience that people drove from all over to enjoy.

For over a decade, the Nightmare on Eastbrooke continued to grow, and the neighborhood where the home haunt sat would be literally shut down every Halloween due to traffic.  People flocked to Nightmare on Eastbrooke because it truly was a haunt with a heart, and even though it was a home haunt, it had a very professional haunted house feel to it. After several successful years as a home haunt, the haunted house had gotten so big, that it was time to move on to something a little bit bigger (well actually a LOT  bigger).

Evansville's Newest Haunted Attraction

The Nightmare on Eastbrooke officially outgrew its humble beginnings, and the folks who run it have begun the Evansville Nightmare Factory.  What was once an old empty 17,000-square-foot warehouse, is now the home of Evansville's newest haunted attraction, Evansville Nightmare Factory.

The warehouse location is 1520 N 5th Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. And you can experience the terror for yourself this weekend as they host their grand opening and a special fundraiser for St. Jude.

Friday the 13th Just Got Luckier

Friday the 13th is known for being a notoriously unlucky day, but with the crew at Evansville Nightmare Factory, I beg to differ.  They are hosting a special grand opening weekend, all weekend long at Evansville Nightmare Factory, and doing so while helping to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (I mean hey, they may be a little spooky, but they're a haunt with a heart at their core).

On Friday, September 13th a special appearance will be made by Slider Jesus, who is a well-known haunt actor who is known for his skills in sliding across the ground and using his costume to create sparks as he slides towards you.  It's truly a wild act!

According to the Facebook event page, a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to 618 Crew for St. Jude, an Illinois fundraising initiative for St. Jude.  If you'd like to check out dates and times the Evansville Nightmare Factory will be open, check out their website, and purchase your tickets in advance, here.
