Help Revitalize Evansville Through Block-By-Block Neighborhood Cleanup Events This Spring
Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry hopes you don't use up all your energy doing some spring cleaning in your home. She hopes you'll be willing and able to lend a hand in doing some spring cleaning in some Evansville neighborhoods.

Mayor Terry announced dates, times, and locations for a few Block-by-Block Neighborhood Cleanup events this season, and the community is invited (and needed) to help out. Whether it’s picking up litter, mowing overgrown lawns, or tackling blighted properties, these cleanups bring a renewed sense of pride and energy to our city.
In 2024, Mayor Terry introduced and hosted two successful Block-by-Block events. Now, she’s expanding the effort, with a total of eight cleanups planned for 2025! Here’s where you can get involved this spring:
- Friday, March 21 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the CHAIN Neighborhood
- Friday, April 25 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Lamasco Neighborhood
- Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Tepe Park Neighborhood
This program is just one piece of Mayor Terry’s Neighborhood Revitalization efforts, which also include the Fight Blight initiative and Affordable Housing Trust Fund programs. The goal is to create stronger, cleaner, and more connected communities across Evansville.

We launched Block-by-Block last year with the goal of helping to beautify our neighborhoods and to strengthen our connections in the community. We’re identifying the neighborhoods with the greatest need, using data from departments like the Building Commission and the Evansville Police Department, and we’re working to make government and the services we can offer as a city accessible to them. ~Mayor Stephanie Terry
