Eastside Evansville Boxing Group Fitness Suddenly Closes
After only 18 months in business, it's lights out for an Eastside fitness studio.
I remember wanting to get all of the Tae Bo VHS tapes. That was the big fitness craze in the 90s. Kickboxing cardio taught by Billy Blanks. Having the ability to work out in your own space, and feel strong works for some people, and others need in-person motivation.
Boutique Fitness Craze
Of course, many gyms offer different group fitness classes like boxing, but boutique fitness spots offer a specific workout with one theme. There are pilates studios. cycling, kickboxing, bar fitness, stretching, and up until this week, we had a Rumble Fitness in Evansville.
Rumble Boxing is a franchise, and with that comes start-up fees and other property costs that can be difficult to keep up with, especially in this economy. I have several friends who have worked out and even taught classes at Rumble, but today I noticed that some folks were asking why Rumble was closed.
Statement from Co-Owner Antonio Compton:
Yeah unfortunately we had to close immediately due to lack of business growth! Our community and team was exceptional just couldn’t continue to sustain an unprofitable business! It was really sad to close our doors! We want to Thank the Evansville community for supporting us for the past 18 months and we tried so hard to make it work but just couldn’t turn the business around!/pullquotes]

It's sad that the business didn't even make it two years in Evansville. The location is prime property off of Burkhardt Rd, so I'm sure the rent was pretty expensive. Maybe we can find those old Billy Blanks workouts on YouTube.
