Stroll Through The Enchanting Lantern Festival at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden

Whether you’re exploring with family, on a date night, or enjoying a peaceful sensory-friendly evening, this event promises wonder at every turn.

A Magical Zoo Experience

WILD SUMMER LIGHTS, a one-of-a-kind lantern festival designed to dazzle with stunning displays. You can wander through over a mile of glowing displays, blending art, nature, and culture into an unforgettable evening experience. Running Thursday through Sunday evenings, this spectacular event transforms Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden into a wonderland of color, creativity, and imagination.

Wild Summer Lights is open Thursday through Sunday evenings until October 5^th, 5:30 – 9:30 pm. Each evening will also feature different food trucks, live music, and adult beverages.

Limited-Time Event with Special Ticketing

This magical celebration is a special ticketed event, meaning regular daytime admission does not apply. Gates reopen at 5 p.m., and guests will need to purchase advance tickets online at meskerparkzoo.com.

• Zoo Members: Save $3 per ticket (login required)

Sensory-Friendly Sessions for Inclusivity

Wild Summer Lights is designed to welcome everyone. Two special Sensory Sessions will take place on:

• Wednesday, August 20 | 5–9 PM
• Wednesday, September 24 | 5–9 PM

These evenings feature:
Reduced crowds
No live music
Calmer atmosphere

This thoughtful setup ensures a comfortable experience for guests with sensory sensitivities. Organizers also encourage those who can attend standard nights to do so, helping keep these inclusive sessions available for those who need them most.
