Relay For Life Daviess County is getting a huge makeover this year.  The event, which is set for Friday, May 16th is moving from Diamond Lake Campground and Resort, for the first time in four years.  This year's event will take place at College View Middle School and organizers are hard at work to revamp Relay and they're encouraging you to form a team and join us at this important all-nighter!  C

Up, Down and Dirty For a Cure is in the books!  And Owensboro's first-ever Mud Run was a HUGE hit.  Hundreds tackled the boot camp-inspired course last weekend at Diamond Lake Campground and Resort and a handful blazed through it.  While I ran the course, kissed the ground at the finish line, then immediately ran to the Atmos Energy grill to get a hamburger, others took the course VERY seriously.

As you all know, I do a lot of work with the American Cancer Society.  I am the chairperson of Relay For Life here in Daviess County and I also emcee their annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk each fall.  I also work, annually, with Susan G. Wednesday, Jaclyn and I celebrated Grocer's Day at Houchen's IGA on 25th Street in Owensboro.  In fact, there were American Cancer Society teams at every Houchen's location in the area selling pink ribbons for ACS' breast cancer research programs.  WBKR is a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society and its two primary fundraisers each year, Relay For Life and Making Strides.  So, naturally,
