America's Run for the Fallen

The Run for the Fallen is currently taking a rest for the 4th of July. Last weekend, the Kentucky route took place. Earlier this week we saw incredible drone footage of the run from Chris Conley.

The annual Run for the Fallen started in California over two months ago.  Saturday afternoon, runners made their way into Owensboro and had a special ceremony downtown.  Here are some highlights from the event.  As videographer Chris Conley explained, "The welcome we got along the way today would have brought tears to your eyes. Never seen so much compassion and love for our fallen."  Ta

On Flag Day in 2008, a team of runners participated in the first Run for the Fallen. They ran 4,100 miles across the country, from Fort Irwin, CA to Arlington National Cemetery, one mile for every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marine killed since the War on Terror began.
