The Monster Energy All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday night ended with Kyle Larson taking home a million dollars and Clint Bowyer being very unhappy with Ryan Newman.

Big news from the world of NASCAR this afternoon. NASCAR chairman Brian France (on right above) announced due to the fallout of two attempts to manipulate the results of last Sunday's race at Richmond, the driver in 13th place in points, Jeff Gordon, will be allowed to compete in Chase. Thus the field will now be expanded to 13 teams.

It was a melee for the ages, well at least for this season. With two laps to go in the Advocare 500 on Sunday, Jeff Gordon intentionally ran into Clint Bowyer, who had rubbed him and caused him to cut a tire earlier in the race. And as with many wrecks, Gordon decided to get in one final shot and pay back Bowyer. The wreck destroyed Bowyer's car and the ensuing events were not pretty.
