Happy Halloween Weekends

This is it!  The final day of "Trick or Treating" for Holiday World "Happy Halloween Weekends" tickets.  And Taunya and I saved one of our funniest treat requests for last.

Just once, okay? Just this one time, I'd like to get a pair of these that actually work. I don't get it. I would think that if they got wet enough, they'd be fine and I wouldn't get all that headache-inducing racket. But I would wrong, it seems.

Remember these?  I think every kid growing up in the 70's and 80's LOVED Pez dispensers.  And today here on The WBKR Waking Crew, they're our treat of the day!

For several years--despite the advent of shows like The Walking Dead and American Horror Story--a 1996 episode of The X-Files, called "Home," has been the single most disturbing thing I have ever seen on television.

I grew up at the baseball field playing for the Thruston Reds.  Yes, we were a farm club for Cincinnati.  LOL!  And I loved hitting the concession stand after the big game.  And a big game meant Big League Chew!  And that's The WBKR Waking Crew's "treat" of the day in our Holiday World "Trick or Treat" game!

Okay, so this "treat" really won't get me anything but a sense of accomplishment, at long last. When I was a kid, we were a big "board game" family. Our family friends were "board game" families. Our cousins we'd visit in New Mexico were "board game" families. We had them all and we played them all.

Yesterday, we wanted Garbage Pail Kids!  Today, Taunya and I are looking for another blast-from-the-past trading card!  Remember WACKY PACKAGES??  They were trading cards featuring hilarious spoofs of modern household products.  Crest became Crust!  Band-Aid became Band-Ache and the box featured a bandage ripping the flesh off an arm.

Today, I won't be asking for much. In fact, today I won't even be asking for anything you can hold in your hand or even touch. Well, I guess you COULD touch it, in a manner of speaking. But you'd be sorry.

Our second week of "Trick or Treating" is underway here on The Country Station and we again have three chances per day for you to win tickets to Holiday World's HAPPY HALLOWEEN Weekends.  All you have to do is know which TREAT your WBKR deejays are looking for when they go "trick or treating!"  This morning, Taunya and I are looking for a 1980's throwback!

Today, Taunya and I are taking one for the team.  All week long, we have been asking for "treats" that WE want.  See, if you know what tasty treat we are looking for and we call you during the morning show to "trick or treat," you could win tickets to Holiday World's Happy Halloween Weekends...

Season Three begins Sunday. I have been counting the seconds since Two came to an end last spring. Sure, the first part of the second season was a slow mover, but the second part picked up steam like crazy. Yes, I am speaking (reverently) of The Walking Dead.
