Our buddy, Jimmy Parrott, turns 48 today and we wanted to celebrate his special day by sharing some of our favorite memories!

It's that time again.  And, yes!  Here at WBKR, we are going to be Freezin' for a Reason at the 2014 Polar Bear Plunge.  It's Saturday, February 8th at The Hines Center in Philpot and we'll be among the hundreds of folks who suck it up, throw caution to the shrinkage-inducing wind and jump into the icy cold waters of The Hines Center lake.  Here are some video highlights from last year's Plunge! I have said it multiple times before . . . jumping into a freezing-cold lake is the single WORST idea in history and the single-worst way to raise money for a charity.  LOL!  But, you know what!  We're doing it anyway and we are going to have a blast.  :)

Here at WBKR, we LOVE Jimmy Parrot and we LOVE bringing him to the studio every year for his annual birthday bash.  And today was no exception.  Jimmy turned 45 and we celebrated with Wonder Woman, the Mayor of Hawesville and Jimmy's special birthday cake, an anatomically-correct Beth from Dog the Bounty Hunter.  Check out the photos!
