Some of you have likely seen this, but I just stumbled across it on Twitter over the weekend and was completely blown away.  And, for me, the timing was perfect.  Colin Kaepernick is making news for not standing during "The Star-Spangled Banner" and, quite frankly, I'm over it.  Rather than talking about him, I'd rather spend my time celebrating astonishing anthem performances like this.

Saturday at the 2016 March for Babies in downtown Owensboro, opening ceremonies got off to a rousing start thanks to three young ladies from Daviess County High School.  Hayley Payne, Skylar Lanham and Millie Hatfield performed a stirring A Cappella rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.  Watch!

How did I miss this?  Seriously?  Early this morning, my sister Kaci tagged me in a Facebook post that contained this video.  Back in April, 16-year-old Marlane VanHoose  performed the "Star-Spangled Banner" before a University of Kentucky women's basketball game.  But what makes Marlane's performance so special is the fact that she is blind and disabled.  But her voice!  My goodness.  H
