Owensboro City Commissioner and local Rod Stewart tribute artist Larry Maglinger has passed away. Here's my absolute favorite memory of him.

This year's race for Owensboro City Commission is a crowded one.  There are twelve candidates competing for four available seats.  Late last week, a random drawing was held for ballot positions.  According to Daviess County Court Clerk Richard House, this was the outcome.

The vote is in and starting July 1st, 2017 Owensboro residents will see higher taxes as the Owensboro City Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the annual budget for 2017-2018.

Several Owensboro residents showed up Monday afternoon outside of City Hall to protest the closing of Cravens Pool on the west side of Owensboro in Mechanicsville.  I had a  chance to talk with some of those residents.  Here's what they had to say.
