Today's an exciting day here in the Owensboro area. Cape Air officially begins its round trip service from the Owensboro airport to Nashville International.

The City of Owensboro is hosting their yearly surplus auction this month!

The City of Owensboro Surplus Auction is taking place today, Thursday, April 27, at the Owensboro Convention Center.

It's almost here! The Owensboro Air Show is this Saturday at 1pm downtown over the Ohio River. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to English Park or Smothers Park to catch all the amazing aerobatics. The Country Station! 92.5 WBKR will be live on location with Barb Birgy's show beginning at 10am. And don't forget, a few of performers and their planes will be putting on a mini-show at the Owensbor

The skies above Smothers Park, English Park, and the Ohio River will roar again as the Owensboro Air Show returns September 20-21. And this year, not only will you be able to see all the exciting aerobatics, you will be able to hear it as well.

The public is getting its first official look at the newly redesigned and reopened Smothers Park this weekend.  The park was officially unveiled last night during a special edition of Friday After Five!  Today, folks are invited downtown to see the new park, then turn their eyes to the sky!  The Owensboro Air Show is ready to soar into action!!

The public will get its first official look at part of the new Owensboro riverfront at Smothers Park as the park's grand opening will take place during Friday After 5 on August 24th with the Owensboro Air Show on Saturday, August 25th rounding out a huge weekend for the city.
