Tears are falling as I listen to Mother’s, Father’s and Friends who are still waiting to hear news about whether their loved ones are in surgery at hospitals or if they were killed and are still inside the nightclub...

14 News is reporting that President Obama will be making a visit to the Tri-State in the near future.

I read this story by Shauna Wright with Townsquare Media, that shockingly, President Obama has descended from the first slave in America. Family-tree exploration site Ancestry.com revealed on Monday that President Obama’s lineage bears an interesting hallmark: he’s a descendant of the very first documented African slave. And surprisingly, the connection is on his mother’s side.
