The Kentucky State Police are getting ready for their 2024 Cover the Cruise event. Here's a preview of the Owensboro fundraiser, which will raise money for Special Olympics Kentucky.

Meet Owensboro's Ice Bath Posse- a group of friends who have joined forces to raise money for Special Olympics Kentucky by taking the Polar Bear Plunge.

This Saturday, Chick-Fil-A will host a Cops on a Coop event to raise money for Special Olympics Kentucky. Details here!

On Friday, May 18th, the Dunkin' Donuts in Owensboro is going to look like it's being raided by the police.  But, don't be alarmed!  Police will be surrounding the location for sure.  And, they're even going to be on top of the roof raising money for a terrific cause.

As you all know, here at WBKR, we are huge supporters of Special Olympics Kentucky.  And we're pleased to announce and help spread the news that Casey's General Stores in the Commonwealth have launched a month-long promotion to raise money for the cause as well!  Here's how they're doing it!

HUGE congratulations out to Chris Willis of Owensboro and Lee Dockins, who's also representing Kentucky and Team USA at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.  They each won medals over the weekend!

It's been a busy week for Owensboro's Chris Willis.  The Special Olympian is in Los Angeles competing for Team USA at the 2015 World Games!  So far, Chris has competed in two events and has been right on the edge of breaking onto the podium.

This is absolutely awesome and we are so proud of her!  Rhythmic Gymnast Danielle Blakeney, of Kentucky, has completed her events at the Special Olympics World Games and the results are in.  And she has won multiple gold medals!  LOOK!

It's a big day for Owensboro's Chris Willis.  The Special Olympian is in Los Angeles competing for Team USA at the 2015 World Games!  And today, he goes for gold in two events.
