Jerry Morris, with Angels For Ashley, cooks just about everywhere! I always tease and say he has the best butt in the Tri-State! (Actually, he does!) Of course, I'm talking about boston butt! ;) This Thursday and Friday, he and his amazing team will be cooking up just about anything you can think of at Shoe Stop (Towne Square North, Owensboro), raising money for our St. Jude Radiothon.

Tomorrow we begin the two days of the year all of us consider among the most important of the year. We all -- you and WBKR -- raise funds to help save the lives of children. My role Thursday and Friday will be ton chronicle the events of the day in picture form so that you -- if you can't join us in person -- may share the good and sad times with us. How incredible is that? Barbecue is KING in Owensboro! Thanks to Jerry and the team for working long hours in front of Shoe Stop on Frederica the last two days AND nights. Jerry said his goal was $10,000 and if they didn't make it, well, they'd make up the difference...

The WBKR-Poole's Pharmacy Care St. Jude Radiothon enters it's last two hours with 289 Partners in Hope! Helping us out are three great kids from Owensboro Catholic High School's S.C.R.U.B.S. program. That stands for Students Creating Responsibility Using Better Solutions. They are always here for us and this year is no exception.
