"The Possum"  George Glenn Jones was born back on this day in 1931 in East Texas, had his first #1 country song "White Lightning" in 1959.  He has  went on to win Grammy Awards, CMA Awards. George has had his share of up & downs in his life, cocain abuse, tax problems, bad management and has been married 4 times! My Dad & I got the pleasure of meeting the country music
