Wednesday was magical at The Opportunity Center of Owensboro. They hosted the 2nd Annual We've Got Talent, Too! contest, which featured 27 contestants representing nine different community agencies that serve clients with disabilities. But what I love most about this event is that it removes the prefix "dis." We've Got Talent Too is a showcase of ability.
Owensboro Burger Week 2025 is coming to its close and burger lovers in western Kentucky have enjoyed a record-setting number of participating restaurants and burgers. While there have been many culinary highlights between the buns, donuts and cretzels, another captivating and inspiring burger has emerged- Geppetto's Spicy Chili Classic from Pinocchio's at The Opportunity Center of Owensboro.
National Public Broadcasting Day was January 13th and the clients and staff at The Opportunity Center of Owensboro came up with a terrific and appropriate way to celebrate. Under the guidance of local broadcasting legend Brian Jackson, the clients created, voiced and produced a country music-infused show called Hometown Hoedown.
