It's back!  This is the fifth anniversary of our annual poll- Who Has the Best High School Mascot in Western Kentucky?

The first two years of the contest, the Hancock County Hornets won.  In fact, for those first two years, they looked unbeatable.  Their school spirit was unflappable.  Then, in 2018, the Webster County Trojans stormed in and claimed the title and, in 2020, retained that crown with an unprecedented sudden death playoff victory over the Hornets!

Well, it's back and it's time to rally the troops, students, parents, faculty, coaches, boosters and fans to VOTE!

Here at WBKR, we have a huge admiration for mascots.  As a matter of fact, when she went to Apollo, our very own Angel was that school's Eagle!  And, as WBKR midday personality Barb Birgy shared, "A high school mascot helps to raise spirit at their school and in the community. Such a fun part of high school sports programs and they're so entertaining."

And we're proud to celebrate that tradition.  So, get those votes in!

Angel and I will announce the winning mascot on Monday, February 24th, 2020 during the morning show and we'll make plans with the winning school to come for a visit and broadcast live during a pep rally.
