Hollywood week is over on American Idol. And, I am sure the contestants, who spent the week throwing up, passing out and collapsing on the stage, are probably THRILLED. But did ANYONE shine during Idol's most infamous boot camp? Was anyone able to just drink a gallon of Dayquil and go on about their business? As WBKR's Idol expert, Steve Thompson, explains, a gal named Jen Hirsch delivered two of the most memorable performances of the week, but she wasn't the only one able to pull a rabbit out the hat.

Call me an addict if you will . . . but I have seen EVERY single episode of EVERY single season of American Idol. But, I have never seen anything like last night's episode about Hollywood Week. Instead of finding America's next great singing superstar, Idol needed to find a doctor! Stat! A horrible stomach bug broke out and contestants were tossing cookies everywhere. In fact, I think this is the only Idol episode I've ever seen when there were NO performances. As our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, explains, this was more like a scene from Contagion, Outbreak, or 28 Days Later!

Hollywood Week is underway on American Idol and last night's episode ended in a cliffhanger! The final contestant of the evening, young Symone Black, had just finished singing some Otis Redding when the judges started to question her song choice. She was so nervous and caught up in the moment, she passed out and fell RIGHT OFF THE STAGE! Producers of the show promised drama! And, last night Idol delivered drama. So, what did our Idol expert, Steve Thompson, think of the show?
