It's that time of year when networks announce their fall TV line-ups and...they announce which shows won't be coming back. We all know it's tough to juggle all of our favorite shows; our DVRs can only hold so much. Most of the time, the shows that meet a dark fate were probably expected to, but the ones we love, it's almost too hard to hear. Okay, I'm talking about me, but let's take a look at what did and what didn't survive the axe.

Yes, that photo is creepy! And, trust me, with this series . . . you shouldn't expect anything less. I met Kevin Bacon a couple of years ago. And I vividly remember that he had abnormally soft hands that completely freaked me out. So, imagine my surprise that he has wrapped those hands firmly around Fox's gritty, envelope-pushing and captivating new serial-killer drama, The Following. Keith Urban Accepts Offer to Judge 'American Idol'

‘American Idol’ is revamping its judging panel, having hired Mariah Carey this week. While season one winner Kelly Clarkson feels season four winner Carrie Underwood would be a great judge, execs at Fox are also thinking country, but have a totally different superstar targeted for a spot and it’s none other than Brad Paisley.

Forget what you've heard about the disappointing ratings. Forget what you've heard about the decline of Simon Cowell's popularity! As they say in England, it's all rubbish. The X-Factor debuted on FOX a couple of weeks ago and is doing what talent shows on television are SUPPOSED to do! (Sorry The Sing Off! All your groups sound exactly alike to me!) The show is finding talent and AMAZING talent at that. The preliminary auditions are in the books and the remaining contestants are ready to suit up for boot camp. All have the same goal in sight. They want to battle their way to the LIVE shows, where YOU can vote for your favorites! And, after watching the first few episodes, I am ready to share with you some of my personal favorites.
