2011 CMA Awards Worst Dressed Pictures

Yikes! There were some serious fashion strikes on the 2011 CMA Awards red carpet, beginning with Laura Bell Bundy‘s pantless purple dress cape … well, we’re not sure what to call it. C’mon, girl!

Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square was showing off a little too much skin in her royal blue cutout dress with a bedazzled harness running across the front. We can only assume the harness was to prevent any embarrassing Janet Jackson-style “wardrobe malfunctions.”

Susie Brown of the JaneDear Girls was sporting an over-accessorized goth-chic party dress that had us saying, “Huh?” Her musical counterpart, Danelle Leverett, was not much better off, wearing a snooze-fest black dress that would have been better suited for a junior prom.

And while most of Carrie Underwood‘s fashion on this night was spot on, her curtain-like green number seen toward the end of the show was a gown choice that bewildered us.
