Be Aware of Owensboro Health’s New Rules in the Wake of a Mini-Flu Outbreak
If you plan to visit anyone at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, be aware that there have enough cases of the flu reported that OHRH is taking special precautions.
Owensboro Living reports that over a seven-day period, beginning on Christmas Eve, nearly 100 positive rapid flu tests were recorded.
Nobody wants or needs the flu, so know that Owensboro Health is restricting the number of visitors for patients and precluding all minors visiting.
And, if you have a cold or are showing symptoms of the flu, you're asked to stay away.
Protect yourself.
Use hand sanitizers and wash your hands frequently. Plus, keep in mind the temperatures are expected to soar into the mid 50s by late next week.
I'm no medical expert, but that kind of jump often leads to illness as well.
