Coffee With a Cop
A very cool opportunity is coming up on September 10th. You can meet with members of the Owensboro Police Department to discuss community issues and get to know the staff while drinking coffee! The event Coffee with a Cop will be held on Tuesday, September 10 from 8-10am at the McDonald’s on West Parrish Ave.
The event is part of a national initiative to help local departments make lasting connections with their communities, and give them an informal setting to discuss issues. Members of the community can ask questions and get a better understanding of the work the department is doing in the area.
The program also hopes to help advance the idea of community policing by strengthening the relationships between the officers and the community.
The Owensboro Police Department plans to hold these events quarterly according to a press release.
