Daviess County Courthouse to Close for Bar-B-Q Festival

The International Bar-B-Q Festival is Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th in downtown Owensboro.  And, if you have official business at the Daviess County Courthouse, you may have to reschedule.  There are plans to close the building early Friday.

Here are the operational plans for the offices inside the Daviess County Courthouse.

The Daviess County Fiscal Court Administrative Office will remain open until noon Friday, May 9, 2014.

All other offices within the courthouse (including licensing and registration) will be closed all day, as early morning preparations for the 2014 Bar-B-Q Festival will have surrounding streets closed.

These street closures, necessary for the International BBQ Festival, will result in the loss of traffic access to the courthouse.
