NEW 18-HOLE DISC GOLF COURSE AT YELLOW CREEK PARK
Daviess County's newest 18-hole disc golf course, designed by Dutch Napier Disc Golf with support from HB Clark Signature Disc Golf Course Designs, is at Yellow Creek Park. Officials will hold a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion on Monday, May 20th, 2024 at 11 AM.
The ribbon cutting will be held at the first hole of the new “Creekside” course, near the parking lot for the Nature Center. Members of the general public and news media are invited to attend.
The new course is described as fun but challenging and perfect for any skill level. Daviess County Fiscal Court Parks and Recreation is partnering with Visit Owensboro and the Daviess County Disc Golf Association to host a B Tier sanctioned tournament through the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). This event is planned for November 22nd through November 24th, 2024. This will be great for tourism!
WHAT IS DISC GOLF?
"The Daviess County Disc Golf Association will also host a free clinic for the community on July 5, before the German American Bank Fireworks Festival. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate."
