Before Darius Rucker arrives in Evansville as part of Brad Paisley's H2O Frozen Over Tour on January 22, the country star will make a stopover in the Big Easy. Rucker will give a free concert in New Orleans on Monday one day ahead of the Sugar Bowl match-up between Arkansas and Ohio State. Then the singer plans to hang around in New Orleans and help with some clean-up efforts in the Crescent City's Ninth Ward, an area devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Combine this with the news of $10 million being raised by Garth Brooks's nine Nashville flood relief shows, and we continue to see how generous the country music community is and really always has been.
