This is really cool. I came across this while browsing Facebook. A good friend of mine from college is a rabid music fan and he always posts neat things, and this is really neat. When it came to songwriting, Michael Jackson didn't really play any musical instruments, so when he came up with a melody or a lyric, he recorded it on a cassette, then he would go to the studio and play it back.

What you are about to hear at this link is nothing short of incredible. It's Jackson composing "Beat It" with just his voice as the beat, the backing vocals, the melody, the verses, it's everything!
