Holiday World is gearing up for its 75th season, which is set to begin officially on Saturday, May 15th.  That's when the dry park at Holiday World will welcome guests for the first time this year.  The following weekend, on Saturday, May 22nd, Splashin' Safari, Holiday World's award-winning water park, will open.
About a month ago, Holiday World hosted an open hiring event here in Owensboro.  Well, now, to continue building staff for their milestone year, they're having another. Members of the Holiday World Human Resources Team will be in Owensboro this Friday, April 16th.  They'll be at the Hampton Inn Waterfront Hotel from Noon until 6:30pm for on-site interviews.

Like usual, the park is planning to hire all skill sets and ages for a variety of positions around the park.  Those positions range from food, to rides, lifeguards, maintenance, ticketing and more.
My friend Jill Conrad's son Cam just landed a job with Holiday World.  It's his first job ever and, in his mom's words, "He's so dang excited!"

By the way, Cam will be working the slides in Splashin' Safari.  So, keep an eye out for him if you visit the park. His mom says that she's never seen a kid so excited about a job.

As before, interviews will be held in person at the Hampton and social distancing precautions will be in place to ensure that everyone is comfortable and that proper COVID-19 protocols are followed.

Sabrina Jones, from Holiday World, joined me and Angel this morning here on WBKR Morning Show to chat about the event.  Take a listen.
