How to Donate to Hurricane Victims During Tri-State Cares Mediathon
It's an important day here in the tristate. Here at WBKR/WOMI, we're joining forces with the American Red Cross and fellow media outlets to raise money for victims of Hurricane Florence. As you know, the Carolinas are battling debilitating flooding due to the storm and we're rallying the troops. Today marks a special 12-1/2 hour mediathon and YOU can help.
Beginning at 6:00 a.m. this morning (Sept 19th), we're broadcast live from the Red Cross headquarters on the corner of Stockwell Road and the Lloyd Expressway asking you to join the relief effort by making either a monetary donation, or volunteering your time both locally and on the ground in North and South Carolina.
Monetary donations are being accepted online now. Simply click the Tri-State Cares logo below. You can call 812-471-7200 during the mediathon today. You can also make a $10 donation by texting FLORENCE to 90999. Or you can stop by the Red Cross office on Stockwell and make a donation in person.
